A student told me recently about a job interview, in which a UMass alum was asking the questions.
One of his questions: "Which slice of pizza do you always choose when you go to Antonio's?"
Now this might have been a nice UMass-connecting ice-breaker.
Or it could reveal something deep and dark about the job applicant. Say she answered: "pesto with artichoke hearts." Did that reveal her to be a weak-kneed liberal? And would that destroy her job chances? And what if she had just said "plain cheese." Would he think she was uncreative?
