The lesson in the Cathedral
This is my first time traveling with a videocamera, and we're learning as we go. What I love about this process is that it enables you to get into some wonderfully quiet and intimate moments (okay, and totally invade people's privacy, but that's what reporters do).
I shot this with a Sony Cybershot digital camera, one recent afternoon in an ancient cathedral in Aix-en-Provence. The visuals are not great (I have no idea what I'm doing), but the sound really takes you there. A young boy was having an organ lesson, maybe in preparation for Sunday mass. He stumbles a bit, as you'll hear, but finally gets it right.
A magical moment from the road in France.
