Teach a woman to set up a website and she'll always be able to publish something

Okay, here's a roundup of fun and useful journalism links you just HAVE TO READ.

Media critic and Northeastern journo prof Dan Kennedy has a nice post on a talk by Sree Sreenivisan at Northeastern recently.

Sree spoke here at UMass few years back, and this guy is one of the smartest people out there on digital media. His website could save your reporting life , and his blogtalkradio show offers interviews with top journalists and some invaluable tips.

Here's Mashable's recent post on 8 Must-Have Traits of Tomorrow's Journalists. READ IT. I am not kidding.

And I saved Lisa Williams link for the Studio20 program at Columbia about What J-school students need to know about setting up and running a web site. Lisa needs summer interns, by the way. Have you got the stuff?

I'm circulating Mindy McAdams terrific (and free) e-book, Reporter's Guide to Multimedia Proficiency in both my Intermediate Journalism and Magazine Writing classes this semester. It offers fantastic and simple step-by-step instruction in building your new media chops.

Hey, if I can do it, you can.
