Internship at NEED magazine

NEED is a quarterly magazine that publishes stories about humanitarian aid around the globe. The publication’s website,, features blog articles, photo essays, video and other content. The company’s mission is to create awareness and inspire readers to become involved in humanitarian efforts.

Intern are needed to help expand NEED’s presence and reach on college campuses and the web. Duties are flexible and can expand with the motivation and abilities of the individual, but will include: Helping develop and institute strategies to market NEED to college-age readers; recruiting and working with student-bloggers; and researching and writing short articles for the blog. There are also possibilities for editing, event planning and participation, video production work, and wider participation in the ongoing expansion of NEED’s web presence.

Candidates need excellent communication skills, the ability to self-motivate and to motivate others, good organization, and a willingness to think unconventionally and to create and seize opportunities. Solid computer and internet skills are required, and any additional technical abilities are a plus.
